Instinctive Responses: How to Make Your Message Impossible to Ignore

Discover the "eye magnet" words and how you can use them to attract people to your message.

You can have a great offer, dazzling creative and a targeted message. Yet you may still be ignored. That's because when people encounter our direct marketing messages, they behave in ways that have less to do with what's in front of them, and more to do with basic human behavior. In fact, science has proven that human beings are hard-wired to behave in certain ways, and have developed shortcuts to processing information and making certain decisions.

Discover the 11 tenets of this instinctive behavior that makes people automatically choose to engage with your marketing message. See tested and proven examples of marketing pieces that shattered the control, performed spectacularly in the market, and represent industry bests. Learn the techniques to embed in your mail piece to increase the likelihood of it being opened, read and responded to.

You'll also learn the three predictable behaviors of B2B gatekeepers—and the tested approaches that leverage them. Finally, how to use compliance triggers, authority figures, the principle of social proof and other choice drivers.

Direct Marketing Goes Green: Why environmental responsibility is good business

Green is good—good for business that is! In fact a recent survey of B2B purchasing agents in the US and Canada confirmed what many New England companies already know. 90% consider environmental factors when making their decisions. 60% already have a green "purchasing policy" in place.

Despite popular opinion, the direct marketing industry – from printers to agencies, paper manufacturers and even the USPS – has already made great strides towards greener and more sustainable processes. This session will consist of a moderated panel discussion, with useful tips and insights for your business, and an opportunity for you to ask questions and dig deeper for the information you need right now.
